Habit Halo
Brand & product design for a wellness wearable & app
Habit Halo is a wellness brand built around sobriety and habit change - pairing a physical wearable pendant with a mobile app for streak support, daily accountability, meditative tools, and anonymous group rooms where people check in and run recovery sessions together. Sobriety tools haven’t evolved since the 1930s; Halo is the design-led, emotionally intelligent alternative. I designed the brand identity, the product experience, and the physical product world: from the wearable and its monthly milestone stones to a visual language that feels warm and intentional, supportive without being clinical.

The check-in
The heart of the product: a glowing orb you tap to check in, cycling through states - crystalizing, breaking habits, energizing - into a streak dashboard. Cinematic and calm, the opposite of a clinical sobriety tracker.
02
Onboarding
A brand-led entry - “Your journey to heal” - and an anonymous, hold-to-check-in ritual that keeps it private.
03
Themed rooms
Daily check-ins happen in atmospheric “rooms” - Rainforest, Ocean - where you pick an anonymous character and log how you feel.
04
Anonymous group support
Recovery is social. Halo runs anonymous group rooms - a Welcome Room with a turn-based speaking circle, plus ongoing chat and sessions - so people can check in together without exposing who they are.
05
The full flow
Onboarding through daily use - splash, birthday, the orb check-in, themed rooms, and habit tracking.
06
The device & a new cycle
The brand made tangible: a premium box that opens on “Begin a new cycle,” holding the wearable pendant and twelve monthly milestone stones - one gemstone per month of progress. Paired with the everyday pendant colorways and the Milestones brand kit.
07
Brand system
The identity pulled together - logo, palette, and the product world in one overview.
08
Brand personality
Before the product, a question: who is Halo? A run of personas - the rock star on a bender, the DJ at 2 AM, the starving artist in pain - that resolve into a quieter answer: Halo is a lot like you and me, and it stays.
09
The pitch
From the deck: a support network for sobriety and mental wellness - design-first and emotionally grounded, built to help people begin the journey, honor their streaks, and stay the course.
